Why are sub-directories missing in the cs directory post successful upgrade of WebCenter Content (WCC) cluster? (Doc ID 2765438.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Q1. When performing an in-place upgrade of WebCenter Content from version 12.2.1.2.0 to 12.2.1.4.0. by following Doc ID 2309958.1 the upgrade itself is successful in that all applications in question - WebLogic, Node Manager, UCM server, WCCADF server and OHS server startup successfully and working as expected.

After running the pack/unpack utility successfully both nodes of the cluster work fine, but the <$Domain_Home>/ucm/cs directory on the secondary node only contains the bin directory while the primary node contains much more as noted below. Is this normal?

Comparison of node structure:

On Primary Node
===============
oracle@<LocalHost_Node1>() cs]$ pwd
/../<$WCC_Domain>/ucm/cs

[oracle@<LocalHost_Node1>() cs]$ ls
admin backup cmu data install vault
archives bin config etc search weblayout

===============

On Secondary Node
===============
oracle@<LocalHost_Node2>() cs]$ pwd
/../<$WCC_Domain>/ucm/cs

[oracle@<LocalHost_Node2>() cs]$ ls
bin

===============

Q2. What are the negatives in coping over the missing sub-directories in <$Domain_Home>/ucm/cs directory from the first node to the second? What are the impacts of such?
