Symptoms

An ADF application has a View Object that uses a custom operator ("IN" in the example below) in the View Criteria.

When trying to edit the View Criteria at Design Time in JDeveloper, the custom operator is replaced by the first available operator in the selection drop-down provided by the IDE.

This causes the following runtime error

View Criteria Item Operator does not exist
