Focus Is Rotating Rapidly Between Empty Required Fields Inside An <af:table> Component

Symptoms
An ADF 11.1.1.7.0 application has a page with an <af:table> component.
One of the columns of the table has an <af:inputText> component which "required" attribute is set to "true".
When a user submits the form, if the required input text field is left empty, ADF reports the error with an error tooltip, but, instead of the focus being moved to another input field, the focus starts changing rapidly between all the fields in the form and without any control.
