OID 10g orcladmin User Login Via SSO/OIDDAS Fails With Error: "Authentication failed. Please try again" In Env Configured With External Authentication Plugins (Doc ID 277270.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 10g.

Cannot login into the SSO page using the orcladmin ID / user.

OID server is setup to use SunOne iPlanet (or could be MS Active Directory) as the authentication server (external authentication plugin).

Can log into the SSO page using other userids in OIDm just not with the orcladmin ID.

ldapbind -h <OID_HOSTNAME> -p <PORT> -D "cn=orcladmin,cn=Users,<subscriber domain>" -w <PASSWORD>
ldap_bind: Operations error


Throug Internet Explorer (IE) browser (oiddas or SSO login):
Enter your Single Sign-On user name and password to login

Error: Authentication failed. Please try again

User Name orcladmin
Password
