Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When following the post-install steps for the WebCenter Portal Bundle Patch 12.2.1.4.210225WCPBP, the following error is returned: 

$ $ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/common/bin/wlst.sh updateESPlugins.py installES.properties

Initializing WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) ...

Welcome to WebLogic Server Administration Scripting Shell

Type help() for help on available commands

Executing /refresh/oracle/product/esHome/stopElasticsearch.sh
Updating Elasticsearch server plugins...
-> removing [orcl-wcp-es-crawl-ucm-plugin]...
elasticsearch : no such file or directory
Error: command Failed: cd /tmp; jar -cfM <MW_HOME>/wcportal/es/webcenter-search-es-crawl-ucm-plugin-new.zip elasticsearch

 

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Install the WebCenter Portal Bundle Patch 12.2.1.4.210225WCPBP.
     
     
  2. Follow the post install steps for Elastic Search from this note:
     
    Post-Installation Instructions for WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.4 Bundle Patches (Doc ID 2658914.1)
     
    In this case, run this command:

    $ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/common/bin/wlst.sh updateESPlugins.py installES.properties

    That will result in the above error.
