Default time discrepancy in standard search form between WCC ADF UI and the Native UI

Goal
When user(s) search for content in ADF UI using standard search form, the custom metadata field (Ex: CustomerDate) has a date/time picker that defaults the current system time (say 2/01/2021 10:20 PM, where 10:20 PM is current system time). This search fails to fetch the documents as they do not fit in the criteria for time stamp specified.
When same standard search is done in Native UI, the same custom metadata field however defaults to 12:00 AM (2/01/21 12:00 AM) and hence picks up content upon executing search.
The standard search in Native UI defaults to 12:00 AM for any custom metadata field set to Field Type - Date whereas ADF UI sets it to current system time.
Why is there a discrepancy in standard search form in WCC ADF UI (also known as Content UI) when compared to the Native UI?
