Symptoms

The installation of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g on Windows fails with the following error:


To reproduce:

  1. Download ODI and unpack into a staging directory
  2. From File Explorer, double-click the setup.exe file to open
  3. When prompted, provide the path to the JDK
  4. Notice the error
