Symptoms

Using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) version 12.2.1.4, ODI Studio freezes and response is delayed, and it may even crash when opening and saving a reusable mapping (RU) along with the mapping that uses the RU.
The following error may be observed:

To reproduce:

  1. Create and save a reusuable mapping
  2. Use it in a mapping
  3. Open both the mapping and reusable mapping
  4. Update the resuable mapping and save
