ODI Custom IKM Is Ignored if Set on RMS and Cross Join Is Set Without Attributes Mapped (Doc ID 2810642.1)

Last updated on JULY 26, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.4.201011 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.200123 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.4, a mapping uses a reusable mapping (RMS). The RMS uses a custom Knowledge Module (KM).
Within the mapping, the reusable mapping is joined to itself with cross join, subselect is enabled.

If none of the attributes of the RMS are used in the subsequent mapping, the custom KM is ignored.

If at least one attribute is mapped, the custom KM is used.

If there is an inner join instead of cross join, the custom KM is always used.
