Purpose

This document describes the procedure how to rollback the Kernel UEK4 to UEK2 on Exalogic compute node using rollback patch.

The patch in this document is applicable to Exalogic compute node running Oracle Linux 6.x with image version 2.0.6.4.211019 (Oct 2021 PSU).

Only the UEK kernel rpms and associated OFED files are reverted to same version as original node version. All the remaining rpms continue to be at Oct 2021 PSU level. So after the rollback, the compute node will display the version as "2.0.6.3.211019". This means that Compute node is at Oct 2021 PSU level, but with UEK4 kernel rolled back to pre-patch UEK2 version.
