Unable To Use Complex Object In IN Parameter With TopLink Web Service Option (Doc ID 2822856.1)

Symptoms

With JDeveloper 12.2.1.4.0 Unable to use a complex object in IN Parameter with TopLink Web Service Option and there are two scenarios for which it doesn't seem to work fine.

Followed steps

1. start JDeveloper 12.2.1.4.0;

2. click on "New Application...", choose "General "applications > Custom Application" and click "OK" button;

3. in the appearing wizard, click on "Next" button for the first 2 steps, then at step 3 in "Project Features" tab shuttle "SOAP Web Services" from "Available" to "Selected" and click "Next" button; at step 4 click on "Finish" button";

4. right-click on the created project, choose "New > From Gallery...", then choose "Business Tier > Web Services > Toplink DB Web Service Provider" and click "OK" button; in the appearing wizard:
4a. click "Next" button at step 1 of the wizard;
4b. at step 2 of the wizard choose "Generate PL/SQL Web Service Provider" and click "Next" button;
4c. at step 3 of the wizard create a new DB connection pointing to the DB schema used at step 0. and click "Next" button;
4d. at step 4 of the wizard check the only available unit and click "Next" button;
4e. at step 5 of the wizard click "Finish" button.
