patch_oim_wls.sh hangs when passwords have special characters

After applying October Stack Patch Bundle (SPB) 211014 for Oracle Identity Governance (OIG), the patch script hangs if passwords provided have multiple special characters next to each other. This worked fine in the July SPB:

ERROR
-----------------------

When providing passwords in the profile:

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Have July SPB applied for OIG.
2. Apply 211014 SPB for OIG
3. Have special chars in weblogic, xelsysadm and the schemas (## and $$ specifically)
4. Update the patch_oim_wls.profile including the passwords
5. Run the patch_oim_wls.sh script and it errors
6. Try commenting our the password lines in the profile
7. Run the patch_oim_wls.sh script
8. It prompts for the passwords and then hangs on the deploy phase

The results after step 8 above: After providing password on prompts, the script does not give the original jdbc.driver errors, but it hangs for ever on composite deployment steps.
