Symptoms

When changing a password for any user, including SUPERVISOR in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c using Studio, the following error occurs:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Connect to ODI Studio
  2. Go to the Security tab, and to the Users section.
  3. Open any user object, and click 'Change Password.'
  4. Observe the error.
