Status Code of Http Response from Reports Server using "STATUSFORMAT" in Oracle Reports (Doc ID 283295.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Reports Developer - Version 6.0.8.26 to 12.2.1.4.0 [Release 6i to 12.2]
Oracle Forms for OCI - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Report Server always sets the status code of the HTTP response to 200.
This happens also if an error occurs, e.g. if the the report does not exist.

Example

This is a problem when you  have an application (e.g. forms) running reports since the application does not recognize the error and the user sees an error message from the report server.

How can we get correct status information into the application?
