Symptoms


Accessing an embedded Visual Builder application using iFrame in WebCenter Portal fails with the following error:


ERROR

idcs-xxxx.identity.oraclecloud.com refused to connect.

 


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure a Visual Builder application with IDCS which federates SAML token to same OAM.
     
  2. Confirm you can authenticate to the VB application directly.
     
  3. Configure WebCenter Portal with OAM.
     
  4. Ensure WebCenter Portal and the VB application use the same identity for users.
     
  5. Add an iFrame in a WebCenter Portal page.
     
  6. Call the VB application from the iFrame.
     
  7. Connect to WebCenter Portal and view the page with the iFrame.
    Here you will see the following error:
     
    idcs-xxxx.identity.oraclecloud.com refused to connect.
