Elasticsearch Search Results Show Deleted Documents in WebCenter Portal (Doc ID 2861914.1)

Symptoms

Elasticsearch shows deleted documents in WebCenter Portal.
Issue persists even after doing full Full Crawl.
Issue does not happens with new deleted documents.

Attempting to view the deleted document from WebCenter Portal shows the following error:

ERROR

You specified an invalid document or a document you do not have access to.

 
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Do a search in WebCenter Portal.
     
  2. Access one of the affected documents (deleted document).
    Receive error:
     
    You specified an invalid document or a document you do not have access to.
     
  3. Search the document in content server.
    The document no longer exists.
