Slot Properties Value Getting Truncated To Only First Character post upgrading to Sites 11.1.1.8.0 Patch21

Goal
When we edit a page in web mode, the slots lose the value of the previously configured properties. Doing tests we have discovered that what really happens is that the value is truncated to only first character.
We have also seen that there is a BUG-26414456 with this same problem, but we already have the latest available patch installed, patch21.
The issue does not occur in patch13 from which we upgraded to patch21. Could you provide us with a hotfix or workaround?
