How to Scale Up Capture for 15k Documents Per Day with Good Performance (Doc ID 2865432.1)

Goal

In this scenario:

1. Production system with a single-node Capture instance is processing about 4-6k documents per day and is working fine.
2. An additional processing task is preparing to go live: Capture daily document count will increase up to 15k documents per day.
3. The average number of pages per document is difficult to measure, but a few profiles have up to 1k pages per document and few have 1-10 pages. A guess average would be 20-30 pages per document.

How can we calculate resource changes so that Capture can process "X" number of documents (PDF to TIFF conversion as well)?

Will adding more CPU's, cores or RAM help to meet the new requirement if clustering is not a possibility?
