Oracle Identity Governance (OIG) 12.2.1.4 Child Form Is Corrupting After Application Onboarding Template Or Schema Changes With "java.lang.NullPointerException at oracle.iam.application.impl.ProvisioningConfigManagerImpl.updateForm" In Log
(Doc ID 2866774.1)
Last updated on JULY 31, 2024
Applies to:
Identity Manager - Version 12.2.1.4.0 to 12.2.1.4.220413 [Release 12c]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When changing AOB template configurations from self-service console application tab, it causes random failures at each occurrence. For example, sometimes it removes the lookup from the child forms or removes the old child forms from parent forms, creating completely new child forms, and adding it to the parent form.
Replication steps:
- Copy FlatFile-12.2.1.3.0.zip connector bundle to $OIM_HOME/server/ConnectorDefaultDirectory and unzip at same location
- Create Flatfile(pfa user.csv with a child form) in the feed file in the server location
- Login to OIM /identity console and click on the Application tab in the "Manage" tab
- Click on "Create" --> Target
- provide App name and feed file name(user.csv) to parse the headers(flatFileLocation)
- Create the App with default form or without default form
- Verify parent UD form and child UD forms in the design console and the "Versions" too
- Now try to update any attribute (like multiValueDelimiter, fieldDelimiter, subFieldDelimiter) in the "Advanced Settings" section or corelation attribute in "Reconcilation" of "Settings"
- The new change will update properly but a parent UD form will create with the new version and will lose the child form relation. -------> This is the first issue
- Now create a new form and link the child form either from sysadmin UI or from the design console OR try to test without creating a new form. Now, none of
- the updates in any area will fail with the following error --> This second issue.
