Adding Google Tag Manager Code Snippet to a WebCenter Portal Template Results in Error: <script> tag must not be included in a <form> (Doc ID 2866845.1)

Symptoms

Adding Google Tag Manager code snippet to a WebCenter portal template results in the following error when viewing a page using the page template:

ERROR

<script> tag must not be included in a <form>

 

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Generate tags with Google Tag Manager.
     
  2. Add tags to a WebCenter Portal page template.
     
  3. Set the page template in a portal.
     
  4. Install the "Google Tag Assistant Legacy" extension for Chrome browser.
     
  5. View a page in the portal using Chrome browser.
      
  6. Enable the Google Tag Assistant Legacy.
