SOA 12c - Insert Operation in DB Adapter Returns Only Non-Null Columns (Doc ID 2871330.1)

Symptoms

The customer is using a composite which was migrated from 11g to 12c. Since the composite is making use of the insert operation with the help of the DB adapter, in the 11g environment, when they provide the input payload with values for only some of the columns, they see both null columns and non-null columns displayed as output. However, the same behavior is not replicated in the 12c environment, where they can only see the columns for which a value was given and they are not getting the null columns in output. As a consequence, they are also getting the error below:

No changes. The only significant change was the composite being migrated from an 11g to a 12c environment.
