"java.lang.StackOverflowError" when Testing ODI J2EE Agent with External Authentication to MS Active Directory (Doc ID 2878522.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Studio and J2EE were configured with External Authentication to MS Active Directory (AD).

The J2EE Agent is running successfully and AD users are able to login in ODI Studio.

While some users are able to test the J2EE Agent without issues, some other users testing the agent fails. Following error can be seen in the agent log:
