"Could Not Initialize Class Oracle.odi.domain.support.OdiEntityClassToIObjects" Error Received in ODI Studio UI when Connecting to the Repositories (Doc ID 2889840.1)

Symptoms

The following error is received in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.4.x Studio when login to the Repositories:

The ORACLE HOME where the issue is observed has Patch 33059296 - WLS PATCH SET UPDATE 12.2.1.4.210629 applied.

The error is received after having applied ODI Patch 33506707 in the same ORACLE HOME, and cleared the ODI Studio cache as explained in Document 1943854.1.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Have ODI 12.2.1.4.200304 BP, and WLS PSU 12.2.1.4.210629 installed in a same ORACLE HOME.
  2. Apply the following ODI one off patch on same ORACLE HOME: Patch 33506707 - Standalone Agent Fails to Start After Applying WLS PSU 33416868.
  3. Clear the ODI Studio cache.
  4. Start the ODI Studio UI.
  5. Chose a login, and attempt to connect to the Repositories (Master alone, or both Master and Work Repositories). Observe the NoClassDefFoundError error received.

Changes

Have applied ODI one-off Patch 33506707 - Standalone Agent Fails to Start After Applying WLS PSU 33416868.
