Session Timeout is Cancelling All Tabs the Users Have Opened, Can this Behavior be Changed
(Doc ID 2905296.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 16, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The session-timeout parameter of an application is set to 60 minutes.
Most of the end users tend to use a particular environment by opening 'multiple tabs' but for the same application. Then over a period of time, if one of the tabs for that environment remains inactive for 60 minutes, it triggers the timeout, then the sessions from ALL the other tabs are terminated as well. The expectation is that the active sessions on certain tabs remain enabled.
