Upgrade, Migration and Patching Terminology from an Oracle Identity Governance (OIG) Perspective Quick Start Guide
When dealing with the Oracle products there is often the use of the same term to mean different things. This can lead to confusion when upgrading, migrating, installing a patch, or installing a bundle patch. The following information is to try and help clarify some of these terms as used by the OIG product.
Oracle Identity Governance Team recommends being at the latest product version release, patch-set, and Bundle Patch that is available for the specific component being used. This helps insure that you have the latest fixes/product functionality and helps avoid unnecessary rediscovery of known issues.
To see the latest release/patchset/BP of Oracle Identity Governance refer to the KM article OIM Bundle Patch Release History (Doc ID 2049708.1)
