How to Manually Set Tracing For In-Process Reports Server 12c (Doc ID 2913939.1)

Goal

You are using Oracle Reports 12c and attempting to enable TRACE:32 level logging on your In-Process Reports Server per instructions in the following document:

        <Note:2070743.1> - How to Enable Reports Engine/Server/Servlet/Zrclient Trace in Reports 12c

However, it is not working.  How can you bypass the "System MBean Browser" method, and enable tracing manually?
