Symptoms

An Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) data server was set up using third-party PostgreSQL driver postgresql-9.3-1103.jdbc4.jar without SSL and worked without issue. After the PostgreSQL driver was upgraded to postgresql-42.5.0.jar, the following error started to occur:
