When Disabling Non-SSL Ports OWSM Gives WSM-02141 : Unable to connect to the policy access service due to Oracle WSM policy manager host server being down. (Doc ID 2935179.1)

Last updated on MARCH 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Web Services Manager - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The problem is that when disabling the non-SSL ports, the specific Service end points are not changing from t3 to t3s even though the steps in <Note 2408151.1> were followed.

The following behavior was observed:
Click on the domain drop down then Cross Component Wiring --> service Tables then select the owsm policy manager then Edit and set it to use SSL.
after that Cross Component Wiring --> Components, then click on the OWSM Agent value under the Component Type list to select it.

Highlight each of the Client ID rows and press the Bind... link. Follow the instructions to complete the binding process for each row. After clicking on Bind, the t3 was not changed to t3s.

Actually, the Service tables were reset to use t3 again. So it is not possible to change the owsm component to use t3s.

The error seen in the log file is:

Accessing the owsm validator through https (https://hostname:port/wsm-pm/validatory) will show no policies.
