ADF Fusion Application Not Working With Chrome Or Edge After Migration To 12.2.1.4.0 (Doc ID 2941668.1)

Symptoms

An ADF Fusion Application not working with Chrome or Edge after migration to 12.2.1.4.0.

A blue square is shown over the page while loading the application after migration to ADF 12.2.1.4.0.
It worked fine in any browser (Chrome or Edge) when it was in ADF version 11.
When the same page is loaded in IE compatibility mode in Edge, it loads fine, but that is not a solution as it is needed to have it working with Chrome too.
