Goal

This document provides more information on the new features introduced on April 18, 2023 to list and delete inactive patches from ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage.

This will improve binary patching performance improvement where more number of patches are present in ORACLE_HOME (e.g. larger WebLogic Server PSUs) and deletes space occupied by inactive patches in the ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage directory.

OPatch 13.9.4.2.12 and later is available as Patch 28186730 for the following products:

Oracle Fusion Middleware 12.2.1.3, 12.2.1.4, and 14.1.1.0
Enterprise Manager 13.4 and 13.5
