Goal
Background: The current incarnations of the WebLogic Kubernetes Operator (WKO) version 4.x and higher are built upon the Oracle Linux 9-slim image. There may be cases where some organizations have not yet adopted Oracle Linux (OL) 9 yet or even where they are running in a virtual environment and OL 9 does not run correctly, giving the following errors when trying to start the container / pod:
Fatal glibc error: CPU does not support x86-64-v2
So obtaining and using an operator that is built on the OL8-slim image rather than OL9-slim is required. One option is to use the older version 3.4.x version of the operator, but if version 4 is needed then that leads to the following question...

How can you upgrade the WKO, but use a local build rather than the one provided by Oracle and located on ghcr.io, as documented here?
