Symptoms

On : 12.2.1.4.0 version, Configuration

Oracle Business Process Management (BPM) Process Creation REST API throws an error. Diagnostic logs for BPM show the below error:

Caused by: oracle.igf.ids.SizeLimitExceededException: Failed to get the next entry. Size Limit Exceeded AdditionalInfo: [LDAP: error code 4 - This search operation has sent a maximum of 1000 entries to the client]

From the OUD access log:

[05/Jun/2023:10:55:36 +0300] SEARCH RES conn=26344 op=105320 msgID=105321 client=IP_ADDR:53218 server=SRVR_ADDR:3389 protocol=LDAP bindDN=cn=BIND_DN result=4 message="This search operation has sent the maximum of 1000 entries to the client" nentries=1000 etime=1519

> For the connection, the OUD Admin is used and all resource limits are set to unlimited, so the question is why the above message is returned.

> The same search when used on the command prompt via ldapsearch against OUD does not return the error and it returns more than 1000 entries. Issue reproducible only when using the BPM application.
