A mapping that was upgraded from Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g has different SQL code after the upgrade and is also producing a different execution result.
The mapping has a join and filter within a data set.

To reproduce:

  1. Execute an interface in ODI 11g and observe the generated sql code.
  2. Look at the execution result and the data loaded.
  3. Import the same mapping into ODI 12c, or upgrade.
  4. Execute the mapping and in 12c and observe the generated sql code.
  5. Look at the execution result and the data loaded.
