Java October 2023 CPU: When Establishing a TLS Connection, Server's Cipher Suite Preference Will Now Be Used (Doc ID 2962918.1)

Purpose

 In the October 2023 Java CPU release, there will be two changes introduced in Java Security which can be seen in the Crypto Roadmap.

  1. Use the server's cipher suite preference order instead of the client's when establishing a TLS connection
  2. Increase the default TLS Diffie-Hellman group size from 1024-bit to 2048-bit
