Symptoms

When attempting to apply one-off patch on top of an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.4+ Bundle Patch (BP), a conflict is reported.
The message indicates that a pre-requisite patch is missing.
However, the pre-requisite is an earlier BP version of ODI, and the environment already has a more recent Bundle Patch.
