404 Not Found Error When Running APEX/ORDS URL After Deploying ORDS 23.x to Weblogic Managed Server and Starting Managed Server from Console (GUI) (Doc ID 2981259.1)

Symptoms

Standalone mode :

In standalone mode ORDS URL works and Apex login page is displayed successfully.

ORDS deployed in Admin Server :

When ords.war is deployed in Weblogic -- Admin server it works as JAVA_OPTIONS parameter is set before starting admin server or WLS from command line.

ORDS deployed in Managed Server :

ORDS URL works with Managed Server port when the JAVA_OPTIONS is set in command line and when Managed Server is started from Command line --> startManagedserver.sh or .cmd

It fails with the following error, only when Managed Server is started from WLS Console (GUI Mode)

404 Not Found

The request could not be mapped to any database. Check the request URL is correct, and that URL to database mappings have been correctly configured

Changes

ORDS is deployed to a managed server (e.g. ORDS_SERVER) in Weblogic 14c
