How To Stop constant reloading of multiple images in an HTML page accessing Webcenter Content (Doc ID 2984699.1)

Goal

The key issue is as follows:

1) Upload and Checkin an image file to Webcenter Content (WCC).
2) Get the Direct URL of the Image in WCC via GET_FILE service call.
3) Then, reference the image inside Portal or HTML page for display.

In the response headers, the cache is not enabled for the image, which slows the page loading as there are multiple images being reloaded each time.

Question:  How to enable Cache for these files when accessing them from WCC ?
