"Unable to bind to directory server" When Running remtool on an OID 12c SSL Port (Doc ID 2993884.1)

Symptoms

Starting with OID 12c it is possible to establish LDAP replication between OID hosts on their SSL port.

However, when running the command remtool to set up replication these errore may be reported:

remtool -paddnode -v -bind <OID_hostname>:<OID_SSL_port>
Enter replication dn password :
ldap://<OID_hostname>:<OID_SSL_port> : Unable to bind to directory server.
ldap://<OID_hostname>:<OID_SSL_port> : Operations error
