Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

WebCenter Portal does not honor the External LDAP Password Policies such as reset password on next login.
WebCenter Portal allows the user to login without restrictions and does not notify the user they need to change the password.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect WebCenter Portal to notify users that need to reset their password.
Users should not be able to login until they reset their passwords.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure the policies in the external LDAP so users are requested to change the password if the user password is reset.

  2. Reset the password for one user.

  3. Login to WebCenter Portal with the user that needs to reset the password.
Here you will see the user is allowed to login and is not informed about the need to reset the password.
