Symptoms

A Web Services application has the following code

working as expected in 11g version.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------------------
After migrating the application from ADF 11g to 12c the variable "defaultGroup" value is unexpectedly "null".

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
----------------------------
The 11g behavior should be preserved.
