Loading a File to a Table with Null Values Are Inserted Into Incorrect Columns (Doc ID 2997435.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is used to transfer data from a file to a table. The file includes extended ASCII characters aka diacritics (such as Å Ä Ö å ä ö), some of the columns have null values.

The ODI File Technology data server has correctly set encoding to "UTF-8" and the property "MULTIBYTE_MODE=1".

When loading the data from the file, the values that are null are incorrectly moved to the last columns, regardless of which field in the file has the actual null value. Following is an example:
