How to Extend The User Form In Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) To Have A Duplicate Field From The Out Of The Box Database (USR Table) (Doc ID 3006766.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 28, 2024

Applies to:

Identity Manager - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This article will show how to duplicate an existing OIM User Form attribute (i.e. USR sql table) and display it on the self-service console (/identity).

In this "How-To" we will be using the OIM User Form attribute USR_LAST_SUCCESFUL_LOGIN_DATE which exists in the "oim" applications /file/User.xml MDS file but not the self-service MDS store. Since the attribute is already created we can not use the User form editor in /sysadmin to add the attribute to the self-service MDS.

The only way to add USR_LAST_SUCCESSFUL_LOGIN_DATE to the UI would be a series of direct edits of the self-service MDS which are not supported so the attribute will be duplicated and the duplicate value shown in the self-service UI.
