Oracle Access Manager (OAM) SIMPLE Mode Cert Expiration Question About The "Root Ca Cert" VS The "User/Server Cert" (Doc ID 3012621.1)

Last updated on MARCH 26, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The root CA used by the OAM SIMPLE Mode expires on <DATE_1_OLDER>, which is before the SIMPLE Mode User/Server Cert expires <DATE_2_NEWER>.

It is believed that since it is the only the root certificate that is expiring on <DATE_1_OLDER>, that SIMPLE Mode would keep working until the User/Server certificate expires on <DATE_2_NEWER>

Does the OAM Server communication with the WebGate (SIMPLE Mode) still work in this scenerio?
