Symptoms

Using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Studio 12.2.1.4, when replacing a model datastore with another model in a mapping, the smart export still has references to the original model, and exporting three models instead of two.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a simple mapping with a source and target, save the mapping SOURCE -> TODELETE
  2. Edit the mapping, select the target datastore "TODELETE"
  3. In "Properties", click "Datastore".
  4. Select the "Datastore Advanced Editor" icon => this opens a window that allows to "Find the Datastore you want to select"
  5. Select the Datastore to use as replacement "TOREPLACE"
  6. Save
  7. Smart export, notice that the smart export has the three models SOURCE, TODELETE, TOREPLACE

The issue does not occur if the Datastore is deleted from the mapping, and the Datastore to replace is inserted instead of using the above method to replace.
