Symptoms

ISSUE
-----------------------
When a step moves backwards in the workflow the system is trying to email the approvers on the step but get an error.


ERROR
-----------------------
Unable to send mail to contributors. Unable to execute service method 'prepareMailForStepUsers'.
Null pointer is dereferenced.


STEPS TO REPLICATE
-----------------------
1. Create a workflow.
2. When the step moves backwards due to reject, the system throws above referenced error.
3. Although the system is trying to email the approvers on the step.


BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
User(s) do not get mail on rejection in a workflow.
