WWC-00006 and WWC-41400 When Trying To Login To An External Application

Symptoms
The first time a user accesses an external application they are prompted to enter the username and password for the external application.
If the box for "Remember My Login Information For This Application" is checked, then the following errors are received when clicking the "Login" button:
Error: Internal error (WWC-00006)
Unexpected errors (WWC-41400)
If the box for "Remember My Login Information For This Application" is not checked, then the user can login to the external application successfully but the account information for the external application is not saved and thus must be entered again the next time the user accesses the external application.
