Symptoms
You are using Oracle Containers for J2EE (OC4J) as a component of Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4.x) and have configured Oracle Process Manager (OPMN) to run multiple JVM instances for a specific OC4J component by increasing above 1 the "numprocs" attribute of a <process-set> tag in the OC4J component configuration entries in $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml:
The "default-web-access.log" for instance 2 in the island has been created in a new folder that is incorrectly nested one level too deep below the instance 1 log directory structure.
