Symptoms

- Trying to install 10.1.2.x Identity Management against a Metadata Repository that resides in a 10.2 database.
- The database resides on the same server.
- The install fails on the SSO Configuration Assistant with the following errors reported to $ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs file:

- "netstat -a" shows lots of open connections (over 100) to the ons local port e.g:

tcp 0 0 localhost.localdomain:54559 localhost.localdomain:6101 TIME_WAIT
tcp 0 0 localhost.localdomain:54558 localhost.localdomain:6101 TIME_WAIT

etc....

- Its also possible that the OC4J Configuration Assistant fails instead.
- Errors from $ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs/
