Symptoms
Background
Database objects are being accessed for modification through the SQL Workshop in Application Express.
Problem
When you navigate to the Object Browser and you select from the list of tables, nothing is displayed in the right frame. Generally, editable information about the object is displayed. In this case just a blank frame is presented.
- You will not be able to Create nor Modify the Database objects.
- However, all other APEX functionality works without any problem.
- This functionality may work in one browser but not another. For example, IE 7 works properly but Firefox fails.
Apache's Error_log has the following corresponding error entries.
Environment
Application Express is installed on a Oracle standalone HTTP server.
Changes
A fresh copy of Application Express was downloaded from OTN and configured in a standalone Oracle HTTP server.
The range of versions where this error can be seeing is APEX versions 2.0 through 3.2.
