Setting up OIDDAS for Group Admins and To Allow Users Only Access To Self (Doc ID 375450.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 10.1.2 to 10.1.4.3 [Release 10gR2 to 10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Users should be able to use OIDDAS to maintain their entry in OID without seeing any other entries within their container.  The OID directory administrators on the other hand should be able to see and manage any entry in this container.   The changes to ACIs must still allow single-sign on to work.

Note:  This procedure has NOT been tested for the delegated admins managing GROUPS.

I M P O R T A N T

This procedure requires an extensive knowledge of OID and should not be attempted by a novice user. If you need assistance implementing this procedure you MUST contact Oracle Consulting or a third party Oracle consultant. DO NOT LOG AN SR.  It is beyond the scope of Oracle Support to implement non-standard or custom solutions.
